Audio Slider: The Volume Control Alternative

An audio slider is a volume control alternative or replacement for Windows, which is around five times smaller than the Windows version of the volume control. It is a very smart and user friendly skinnable interface which, allows you to adjust volume, treble and bass levels, group playback and recording controls within the 5 user defined layouts.

It features system wide hot keys, which allow you to control all the volume related functions like increase, decrease, mute and also to select the controlled line or device. These keys have been referred to as system wide hot keys, because they work seamlessly across all the applications. Audio sliders have this unique ability to support more than one sound card simultaneously. For example, if you have a USB sound card like the Esi Maya 44 USB, it can than toggle between that sound card and your computer’s default one. Volume sliders from two different sound cards can be easily mixed in a single layout.

Whenever any hot key is pressed, a large on screen display with a semi transparent background immediately pops up showing different details, such as volume level, song name or a track position. This OSD is not only meant for displaying these features but also controlling them, like adjusting the volume levels, selecting a track etc. These audio sliders are also capable of providing details about different time zones and some system information such as driver’s free space, total memory, CPU utilization, available physical memory and many more.

Audio sliders are an award winning replacement for the Windows volume control, and they will take the audio features of your system to a whole new level. It’s also a very useful tool for any DJs or musicians who are doing work on their computer.
