The Samsung HT-X715 defines Home Cinema Style
Speakers and indeed most electronic gadgets appear confined to boring and standard rectangular or cube shapes with perpendicular edges. Televisions, speakers, DVD receivers, computers, and more seem to fit the same strict structure and mostly only present themselves as four-sided blocks. But does it have to be this way? Of course not, many speaker manufacturers have created uniquely shaped sound systems, such as cylinder speakers, however, Samsung is redefining both shape and style with their new HT-X715 home cinema system.
Every part of the seven piece set looks like it could belong in a modern art gallery. The hub, although somewhat rectangular shaped, has absolutely no edges and is extremely smooth. The sleek black device stands upright and bulges slightly in the centre, lending it an exotic look. The stylish hub plays DVDs, not Blu-ray unfortunately, and contains upscaling software to enhance DVD quality. The centre speaker is similarly elongated and chic. It is also black, and also contains no edges. The gigantic and powerful subwoofer is covered with the same black finishing as the hub that constantly reflects and shines. Because of the strange exterior, it definitely does not appear like a subwoofer at first glance, but the full-bodied bass will immediately dispel any doubts. Each of the satellite speakers are simultaneously stylish and inconspicuous. Samsung’s 5.1 system is coming to the market shortly and expect to pay a price of around £350 for it. While many other home cinemas might rival the acoustic output, few can match the HT-X715 artistic style.
