Panasonic DMP-BD50: Review
Panasonic, one of the leading electronics company in Feb 2008 released a new digital media player. The blu-ray disk player is known as the DMP-BD50. It uses the latest next generation technology based on blue lasers rather than standard red ones to allow for a higher density of information to be stored and read from the disks.

- It has a gateway for broadband internet connection to the BD-Live service by Panasonic, this allows for downloading of additional content from the web.
- Picture-In-Picture: With Picture-in-Picture, a small sub-window is displayed over the main image.
- The Audio Mixing function lets you choose which soundtrack to listen to: the one from the content playing in the main window, the one from the sub-window, or both at the same time. The sub-window soundtrack can also be reproduced in 5.1-channel surround sound.
- It is equipped with PHL Reference Chroma Processor with advanced P4HD imaging technology and the Precise Digital Video processor that gives you much-improved picture and sound quality.
- The DMP-BD50 provides 1080/24p output (via HDMI) for Blu-ray titles and DVD titles. It reproduces movie images from a Blu-ray Disc in their original 24p form, with no need for conversion.
- The DMP-BD50 is equipped with decoders such as TrueHD and DDTS-HD Master Audio audio formats that provide with high quality sound.
