The all new Iriver P35 is for all the music lovers which have a killer combo of stunning looks and a brand new interface. Iriver P35 throws a better set of menus and a revamped home into a mix.
It is a portable media player, with its built-in Wi-Fi capability and G-sensor accelerometer. The G-sensor gives you the cool and convenient ability to change the song they are listening to by just shaking the player, instead of using buttons.
The iriver product features a 4.3-inch LCD display, am FM tuner, and an integrated Flash Lite 3.0 player, video(30fps), photo viewer, drawing, voice recording, flash game, office viewer, DMB(in regions where available). The player supports a wide variety of formats like MP3, WMA, WCA, OGG, APE, and FLAC audio files to MPEG4, XviD, WMV7/8/9, and H.264 video. It is also compatible with JPG, RAW, BMP, GIF, and PNG image formats and the ability to read PDFs, HTML coding, and MS Office files.
You can choose from three different versions of the player, first one being basic 8 GB model, the second one being 16 GB model with a T-DMB tuner, and lastly a 16 GB model with b/g WiFi capabilities. The P35 excels over its predecessors, like the iRiver Spinn 8GB, in multiple ways. For instance, with its onboard WiFi, 8 or 16 gigs of flash memory and DMB TV option. The open API UCI widget support will mean programmers can bring new widgets whenever they like, and the users can embed them on the home screen.
As someone who is firmly in the Digital Radio Industry, it is god to see companies like iRier continuing to push the boundaries with devices like this that not only deliver an excellent platform for receiving Mobile TV (T-DMB) – but by association – also DAB and I trust DAB+ too.
The GUI on the P35 take the user around the host of facilities smoothly and the combination of weight, size and choice of memory capacity should prove yet another winner for the Korean Manufacturer.
It is a fantastic that the T-DMB technology is now coming back home to Europe where it originated where countries are starting to Pilot or roll out Mobile television and allow us to share in the range of advantages that have been taking the Asian audiences (and particularly those in Korea) by storm. Watch out for the T-DMB in your area to take full advantage of the P35 – but in the mean time is a great way to listen to your favourite tracks, watch your videos or listen to those DAB stations that took you into digital in the first instance.
