Sennheiser branches out with specially designed Earphones for the iPhone
When it comes to accessories, it seems as though the iPod series and iPhone continually get the most attention and receive the largest selection. Some companies create speaker docks that can only be used with the device, while others create iPod specific cases and still others create iPod or iPhone specific headphones. Few portable audio products are popular enough to warrant a dedicated line of headphones designed purely for use with them. But nonetheless it appears as though the headphone giants from Sennheiser have done exactly this with their MM50 iP model. Sennheiser is typically known for their high performance and giant headphones, but the MM40 iP is actually a set of lightweight earphones; though this vast change in design does not at all entail an equally vast change in performance.
The headphones come with most of the standard features expected by anything above the most basic entry level models; including quality bass, sufficient outside noise cancelling, and high dynamics. As the device is also designed especially for the iPhone, not only the iPod, it functions as a headset as well, with an integrated microphone and a button for receiving or ending calls. At a price of only £50, this pair of earphones finds itself among the lowest price range for Sennheiser’s typically much more expensive product assortment. At any rate, iPhone owners can definitely be pleased by another quality addition from a trusted manufacturer to their already huge selection of accessories.
