Pioneer XMP3: Lightest and Smallest XM Radio Available
XMP3 XM Radio is the latest satellite radio from Pioneer, and also happens to be the lightest and smallest XM radio available in the market. This XMP3 is not only dedicated to function as a radio but also exhibits the qualities of an MP3 player. Though this XM radio is an extremely small and compact device, it still does not compromise on the reception qualities. It has excellent recording features and at the same time exhibits memory expansion slots which support high capacity cards. The XMP3 is undoubtedly the lightest and the smallest satellite radio receiver on the market.
This satellite radio measures 3.6 x 2 x 0.6 inches and weighs 3.1 ounces. Below its 2.5 inch colour screen it comprises of four buttons for back, keypad, menu and options and a scroll wheel that is used for navigating through the XM stations and the menu options as well as recording the station content and scrubbing through the track and the play, pause in the MP3 mode. It’s essentially like the Pioneer DEH-P700BT car radio, except the XMP3 is completely portable. The XMP3 features a mini USB port, dedicated volume rocker and power or hold switch on the side of the unit. The bottom panel consists of a power jack and a docking port while micro SD slot and the headphone jack are positioned next to the antenna.
The XMP3 satellite radio features 2GB of built-in memory wherein 1 GB is dedicated to the MP3 and WMA files while the remaining is for the XM radio. It can record multiple channels and also up-to 100 hours of XM programs simultaneously. This XM radio also features auto record capabilities.
