These headphones are in continuation of the Philips SHE series and the main distinction in this Model SHE9620 is that the reproduction of sound quality is to provide a natural and sweet effect on the listener and secondly and most important is the cost factor as this is a budget purchase. Another unique aspect is the design which is crystal clear and different from the gunmetal coloured earphones or the usual black coloured normally available. Two models have been released namely, the SHE9550 and SHE9620. The former model was concentrating on heavy Bass whereas the latter model gives you a more natural sound which is sweet and clear resulting in accurate reproduction of Sound quality.

In respect of the Bass, it is not very heavy or overpowering. Though the bass effect may not have that depth and die down slowly, you still get the warmth in the tone and other musical notes with the Philips SHE9620 headphones. With other ranges it created a balancing effect with the main objective of providing clarity and reproducing a natural effect of the sound.

Similarly there was crispness and detailing in the mid-range and it gave smoothness to the overall effect of sound. Also in the case of the treble notes also were also sweet and rich and not bordering on harshness. The soundstage also was enough to create an impact on the overall reproduction of sound quality and not very glaring which has allowed accommodating all variety of music making it a versatile pair of headphones best suited for everyday music.

The headphones fall in the category of IEM’s that also helps in reducing the external noise to a great extent. Further their size has been kept on the smaller side to allow a smooth slide and very comfortable for extended hours of use.
