Altec Lansing recently released its Backbeat Bluetooth Headsets for Mobile Phones

Altec Lansing has recently announced its first Bluetooth headsets for mobile phones. The company has introduced two new stereo Bluetooth headphones named Backbeat 906 and Backbeat 903. The Backbeat 906 offers a Bluetooth 2.0 adapter along with the headset and the Backbeats 903 offers the headphones only. Both the products are aimed at mobile users who want to stay active and hassle free on the move. Both the Backbeat products are ergonomically enhanced and have a behind-the-neck wearing style. This makes it easy to use them without getting obstructed.

Both the headphones are optimised for delivering high quality audio. Altec Lansing has used its new BassBoost technology to produce impressively low frequencies. You will experience ultimate depth and resonance in the bass. Apart from this the mids and highs are also equally good and have been beautifully matched with the bass. In sample testing there was no sound distortion even at high volume. Both the Backbeat BT headsets have got comfortable ear cups that not only help in fitting the headsets properly but also prevent sound leakage and avoid any type of irritation or pain in the ears. Altec Lansing is clearly no novice when it comes to audio, but these Bluetooth headsets definintely have an advantage over other non-wireless headsets, like the Altec Lansing AHS 615. Furthermore, the main attraction of the Backbeat headsets is the OpenMic function that allows the user to instantly hear the surroundings at the touch of a button.

The adapter supplied with the Backbeat 906 adds to the versatility of the device. It can be used to transmit wireless stereo sound from iPhone, iPods or any other MP3 players via 3.5mm audio jack. Both the headsets integrate Bluetooth 2.1 with EDR and support various profiles including hands-free, headset, AVRC and A2DP.
