Cobalt: Pocket Watch infused with an MP3 Player and more

High-tech gadgets are usually intended and marketed for young people. In a bid to change this trend, however, the designer Adam Hoffman has recently introduced a new concept for the pockets of the 50+ computer geek crowd: the Cobalt appears to be a perfectly normal pocket watch from the outside. Although people will find themselves searching in vain for dials, gears and other old fashioned watch parts on the devices inside. Instead the watch contains a whole lot of high-tech features: the OLED display replaces the clock dial, and displays the time, date temperature, incoming emails, news and text messages. If this is too much information at once for anyone, then they can simply opt for the screen to only display the time – buyers can configure every part of the menu themselves.

There is also enough room for a mobile phone and MP3 player inside the watch. It should also even be controllable using a Bluetooth headset and voice recognition software. Although in emergencies, in case one has a sore throat for example, the device is also controllable via the hidden keyboard on the reverse side of the display cover. This way there is always an option available for older technology fans, or even for younger fans who wish to look wiser and more distinguished, instead of carrying around the standard childish looking gadgets. All they need now is their Cobalt, a monocle, top hat, and a walking stick to help complete the look.
