iCooly transforms the iPod touch into an iMac…
…at least it looks that way at first glance. But unfortunately the transformation isn’t fully complete, as the iPod touch still lacks the processor speed, storage capabilities and display size of any actual iMac.
Though when docking the iPod touch with the aluminium iCooly stand, the device still does appear like an iMac. The media player is still controllable via its touch screen. And, because it is equipped with movement sensors, its also possible to turn the device by 90 degrees – in case one prefers to surf the web with the player placed vertically.
Style fixated Apple fans can get excited about such a trendy looking stand. Assuming of course that they speak Japanese – as the language is the first hurdle to overcome in ordering. RockridgeSound is demanding 4980 Yen (around £25). Which is quite inexpensive for an iMac, but less so for a stand made of aluminium. And in the end that is all the iCooly actually is.
