Home Entertainment with 2.1 Front Surround Sound

The two new entertainers from JVC should convince customers with their surround sound and DVD receivers.

JVC is introducing the new NX-F7 and NX-F3 audio DVD systems. Both models are equipped with a DVD receiver, which possesses an HDMI output, a 1080p up converter and a USB host. The devices’ highlight should be the 2.1 front surround system. In contrast to standard virtual systems, where all the channels are played back over the front speakers, this one uses individual speakers for the left and right channel, as well as the surround sound channel, according to JVC. Two separated speakers are contained in each box, where the lower one is responsible playing the main channel and the upper is responsible for the surround sound.

According to the maker, the NX-F7 speaker’s production from wood has provided it with a natural sound. Moreover, the K2 technology developed by JVC guarantees for optimal sound reproduction, by reproducing data lost from the compression of CDs or MP3s (only available in the NX-F7). The speakers in the NX-F3 system work with the newly developed Anisotrop technology. This technology relies on a membrane with areas of different thickness, which should deliver a ten percent faster diffusion speed and a three dimensional area of sound. The NX-F3 audio DVD system is already available for around £400, while the NX-F7 should be released this June for around £550.
