The JohnBlue JB3 are real bookshelf speakers. These speakers are not only attractive and good looking, but also have the potential of being real versatile speakers and can competently handle everything-from high octaves to the bass registers at very low levels. A small driver is used to give the warmth at the mid level frequency and the mid-range ensures smoothness in performance. Even low level bass notes were quite impressive even with the absence of the dedicated subwoofers and large drivers. Indeed, unlike lower quality bookshelf speakers, like the Roth Audio Oli1 compact system, these JohnBlue speakers perform superbly at both highs and lows. The performance of the stereo imaging was also above expectations as the soundstage created had a distinct 3-dimensional impact.

To sum up JB3 speakers can be used as an integral part of the music system with CD player or with computers and can also form part of a good personal mini stereo setup.
