Since the launch of Apple iPod, a number of accessories have been launched in the market including iPod docks and speaker combinations. Following the trend and competition, Samson has also launched a new and awesome set of small, yet powerful speakers, optimised for the iPod and called Studio Dock 3i Active.

The Studio Dock 3i has a built-in iPod dock, two analogue audio inputs and a USB interface. On its top, the Studio Dock 3i Active has got an iPod dock which is designed as per the Apple’s universal design, so that you can connect any iPod, including the Apple iPod nano to it. Both the speakers sound incredibly good. In order to increase the bass response there are open ports at the back of each of them.

The best part of this system is its multitude of connectivity options. Unlike other iPod docks, it hosts variety of interfaces and ports. On the front side you will find a 1/8-inch stereo input jack and a mini plug headphone jack. Whenever the headphones are connected, the main speakers automatically mute. On its rear side there is a USB 2.0 port, a set of left/right RCA inputs, one power jack, power switch and a voltage selector which is set at optimum mode by default. According to Samson the total frequency response of the speakers is 80Hz to 23 kHz. Each channel has a power of 15 Watts.

The XM410 is one of the latest powerful, compact and lightweight mixers from Samson, which is also specially designed for all applications involving sound reinforcement and public address. This mixer features six input channels with ¼ inch phone line connections and XLR connections. The Samson XM410 is also equipped with an internal stereo power amplifier which is able to deliver 200 Watts per channel.

The XM410 is a ten channel, 400 watt powered mixer which features built-in twenty four bit DSP (digital signal processing) effects with 100 selectable presets. The Samson XM 410 is capable of delivering high quality and reliable sound in any venue, performance or time due to the super-tough and rugged ABS construction. You can easily tilt back the unit to see and operate all its controls due to its ingenious, high impact kickback cabinet enclosure. The condenser or dynamic microphones can be easily connected to the low noise pre-amplifiers with the 36V Phantom Power.

Because Samson XM410 is capable of delivering big sound in small packages it can be well be regarded as an ideal mixer and power amplifier for commercial installations and live sound reinforcements. This mixer also features 3 band equalisation and two auxiliary sends on each channel and a 7 band graphic equalisation is available on the main output.
