The XB series headphones from Sony Electronics are capable of creating rich, powerful bass. These are exclusively meant for those who are always in search for that ‘eXtra’ thump that makes them feel like standing on the dance floor of an energised discotheque. As far as noise cancelling is concerned, however, you might want to opt for the MDR-NC500D headphones instead, with their digital noise cancelling features (see graph below). The XB series on the other hand, will cancel out most surrounding sound simply by virtue of its gigantic bass.

The XB series headphones know no compromise and definitely bring it up a notch compared to earlier ordinary Sony headphones like the Sony MDR-RF800RK. Not only the low frequencies are more than excellent but the mid range frequencies and highs too are very precise, accurate and optimally balanced to offer unprecedented listening environment. All the XB headphones are stupendously crafted and are powered via Sony’s award winning acoustic technologies. Inside the unit, there is a rugged extra-large 50mm dome-type driver that is primarily responsible for the lowest low-frequencies produced ever. The optimum balance of mids, lows and highs effectively generates a satisfying audio fidelity and soundscape.

The XB series headphones not only boast of unmatched quality but also get praised because of their marvellous design. There is a wide headband that is purposely designed to enhance the looks of the Sony headphones and offer you maximum comfort. Both the drivers are covered with a special king sized ear cushion that evenly disperses the pressure off the ear so that you can enjoy extended hours of music. Bowers & Wilkins (B & W), a world leading maker of extremely sophisticated acoustic products has recently unveiled its new powerful device called Panorama at Consumer Electronic Show (CES) 2009 in Las Vegas last month. With this newbie the company has entered into the sound bar vertical field. The Panorama is a one box marvellously designed solution to boost the acoustic capability of high definition televisions. As it’s created by B & W there is no doubt with regards to its sound quality, performance and reliability.

The Panorama sound bar is the result of the intensive research by B&W’s engineering team in UK. Staying true to the company’s penchant for designing very unique speakers, like the Bowers & Wilkins Zeppelin speaker, the Panorma Sound Bar has a truly innovative shape and style. The best feature of this sound bar is it does not require any dedicated or external sub-woofer to produce impressively low frequencies. Atomic Floyd AirJax Headphones: The Ultimate in Sophistication

Do you think that buying a pair of sophisticated, high-end headphones is a waste? You are actually wrong because if you are still using the headphones that you got with the music player, then you are actually missing a lot. So let me introduce you to these new headphones that come from Atomic Floyd. Yeah, it’s the same old brand known for its vinyl albums.

The first thing that you notice (or should notice) about the Atomic Floyd AirJax headphones is their cord. Different from the usual ones, this cord gives you a fibrous feel and is also quite stiff. Another outstanding feature is its metallic wings that not enhance the appearance but also improves the grip. Although you may feel heavy when putting on the wings for the first time but believe me, you will feel more comfortable the second time. Even if the “angel wings” don’t feel that great, the amazing sound quality, which completely puts to shame the experience offered by the generic Apple iPod earphones or any other standard pair, is worth enough to convince you for sacrificing the comfort. The sound delivery is so good that you are likely to ignore all other factors.

The small accessory kit that you get with the headphones will include a converter, a hex tool and an extender lead. Designed to increase the flexibility of wearing these headphones, these accessories are quite useful. Especially the tiny hex tool is just right for tightening the ear loops whenever required. Use it to adjust the size that you like the most.

You may consider buying these headphones if you don’t mind paying a high price for a worthy product.

Psyko 5.1 Gaming Headphones: 3D Surround Unleashed

You have never experienced the true 3D surround acoustics. This is what the Psyko 5.1 Gaming Headphones prove. As the extreme opposite to ordinary headphones, the Psyko 5.1 Gaming Headphones are simply marvellous and show a quantum leap in headphone technology. Currently being introduced at the CES 2009, these headphones sport an entire 5.1 surround sound system that produces sound effects just like your home theatre used to generate.

Psyko 5.1 Gaming Headphone bridge has got five audio drivers, with a subwoofer in each ear cup. These five audio drivers play an important part in generating true surround sound effects. The listener can clearly identify the origination point of each and every acoustic wave and he can also clearly follow that sound to its terminating point. There is also a sweet audio spot which overall enhances the sound mix so that you hear better, play better. In short, these gaming headphones are superior to almost everything you would find on the market, even the semi-professional Sennheiser PXC 450 headphones, for example. Due to the absence of Digital Signal Processing (DSP) the sound is not altered and there is no latency. To experience the miracles that this gaming headphone does all you have to do is plug it into the 3.5mm jacks, set your PC to 5.1 speakers and put the headphone on. The five audio drivers located beneath the headphone bridge are strategically positioned and sense each the location of the sounds precisely. It also makes sure that the different sounds are delivered with correct timing and volume differences.

Apart from the performance and unique technology the Psyko 5.1 Gaming Headphone’s looks are also great. It has got a sporty look and is 100 percent comfortable to wear. You can use them continuously for long hours without experience any pain, irritation or itching. A highly sensitive microphone is also attached to the headphone that is equally good in quality and performance.
